Cosmetic Dentistry FAQs

Coffee, cigarettes, and wine are main contributors to teeth discoloration, especially during whitening treatments. Avoiding these during treatment and consuming each only in moderation after you’re finished whitening will help maintain your brightened smile. However, discoloration over time is inevitable. Repeated whitening treatments will refresh your smile over the years.
Composite dental fillings are made by injecting a special resin into the damaged tooth. Dental fillings remove dental disease in the affected tooth and provide a strong, stable layer of protection that helps prevent future infection.

Dental Implants FAQs

No part of the dental implant process should be painful! This includes extractions. The only pain you may feel is during recovery. Our team will work with you to outline a plan for care that speeds along recovery times and reduces pain.
Dental implants can last anywhere from 10-30 years—depending on the care you provide. Your implant may even last the rest of your life, depending on the age you get it at.

Preventative Dentistry FAQs

Don’t be intimidated by your dental cleaning! Dental cleanings typically take anywhere from forty-five minutes to an hour. This timeframe includes any preventative care, like X-Rays, fluoride rinses, and tooth or gum disease check-ups.

We also recommend coming in for a regular cleaning once every 6 months.
The best way to prevent gum disease is with regular visits to your dentist and with thorough at-home dental care. Yes, that includes flossing!

Pain Management FAQs

Dental first aid kits should include clove oil as a natural, safe way to prevent pain. If you are in pain, take a mild painkiller like aspirin and clean the affected area. Then, use a cotton swab to apply clove oil. If the pain doesn’t go away, contact our team for a checkup.
Despite negative portrayals in the media and other stigmas against root canals, patients rarely feel any pain. The affected area will receive local anesthesia for your comfort. With proper oral care, a root canal can repair your new tooth well enough to last a lifetime.
